[Naver Feature] SeungGhi Lee Versus TaeYang: Oct. 27, 2009

This is the guy who said, "… TaeYang's Look Only at Me is my song of the year." (Read "What They Say About TaeYang"). He is still a fan boy - he may not make a whole lot of sense - and he knows it - but one thing seems clear to me: he wanted to use this opportunity to praise TaeYang lol:

Oh, my. What could there possibly be that could make those two rivals? It’s even hard to imagine them standing side by side. I checked if they are the same age, just in case - well, they are not. First, when I think of Seung-Ghi Lee, these things come to my mind: a baby brother, a well-behaved youngest son, a younger date, a model young man, a record 70% viewership rating, huh-dang, older women fans (noona)… It's like a flood gate opened. How about TaeYang? A feel? An instinct? Performance? I’m not sure but thoughts are not exactly pouring out. Certainly, I do not intent to describe them as rivals in this article. Let’s not get over-sensitive about the expression, “versus.” Now, let's begin, shall we? I chose to discuss about those two together because I wanted to offer my observations on what’s going on today through two twenty-something male vocalists who are on top of their game.

[A Korean Word a Day] Today's Word: 망발

망발[maang bal]: A word that aptly describes what Kanye West did at the 2009 VMAs.

I was reading an article on YoYoYo Hip Hop and came across this word. It was a refreshing experience because I for one haven't used it for a while. Could come in handy lol.

On a side note: I'm writing this post under the influence of Twitter. Thanks to Twitter, I have quickly formed a habit of writing a journal online, which is not exactly healthy.

At first hearing, the song's rather sedating - meaning it's not my cup of tea. However, the video is visually pleasing and, most importantly, YB (and DS) have lots of screen time (I know, childish but georgie happy hehehe). YB looks slightly awkward trying to act natural but DS seems to have finally lost his half-boy, half-man awkwardness (so glad). TOP looks gorgeous as usual. GD on the other hand looks so out of place, it's like he is in some other music video - probably because of his platinum gold hair and snuggling against the chair.

On a side note: It used to be, "What time is it now? - It's 1TYM!" Now, it's, "What time is it now? - It's 2PM!" At this point, I'm not naive enough to believe that 1TYM will be back anytime soon but this song definitely reminds me of the question posed by a DCYBer a few days ago: Is it YGE that's using Teddy to death or is it the other way around?

YB Spotted in Tae-An - Shooting the Wedding Dress Music Video?: Oct. 27, 2009

According to 츠바사토리@VIPZ & 재봄이@DCYB, YB came to a cathedral in her town - Tae An (where BB went to shoot the Sunset Glow video) to shoot a music video, presumably for his next digital single, Wedding Dress. Sadly she didn't have a chance to take a picture of him or getting an autograph - there were way to many extras and YB was getting in and out of sight so quickly. A group of girls were waiting just outside the entrance to see YB come out and screamed vigorously when he finally did. This obviously scared YB a bit and he went right back in hahaha. She wrote, "Why does he have to be so darn cute?" According to her observations, the setting looked like a wedding ceremony and YB was in a black vest and a black tie (something like this - see photo).
